Editor,

Thank you to Stanford lecturer David Crane for calling out the kings’ new clothes — BOTH kings. As a longtime watcher of both DC and Sacramento shenanigans, I can unfortunately relate to each point made.

It is not so much what the news media reports but what it reports about. High speed rail is a scandal yet people are more concerned about trans than transportation. Ever wonder why "choice" is limited to one subject?

Thanks for your letter, Mr. Riggs, but the last 10 years have taught us that if the “press” (as in mainstream press) loves a candidate then it’s highly likely they won’t be good for Americans, or in the case of Newsom, for Californians. Stop believing the mainstream press who prefer fake news and lies to the truth. Other than a few outlets they’ve become Democrat mouthpieces who will eagerly promote Democrat talking points while also providing cover for Democrat’s disastrous America Last policies.
