Great. Every time a tea bagger replies to Keith Kreitman we are treated to another confused conservative (con-con) vainly trying to fob off more right-trash Republican historical revisionist fantasies. We are painfully reminded of this group who obviously slept in history class.
Dwight, "I hate to be the one to tell you” ... but, welcome to the club.
To your credit, unlike your fellow travelers in denial for the past 80 years, at least you can agree there actually was a Great (Republican) Depression.
For 10 years, millions of Americans lost their homes and possessions. Banks were dropping out like flies and with them our money (sounds like today). Thousands died from starvation and disease, and most of the "greatest generation” was afflicted with poor health, without jobs.
When we entered a "little thing called WWII” we had less than a handful of aircraft carriers and our soldiers were training with broom sticks. Yet, three years later, we had more than 120 carriers, we supplied every single Allied Army, we produced enough equipment to outfit over 2,000 divisions and the American worker outproduced the entire planet.
Where are the leaders, the captains of commerce and industry? Where were the Fords, the Rockefellers, the Duponts, the Morgans, the Goldmans and yes, the Schwabs?

Sadly, the only thing the power elitist Republicans seemed to have finally learned is: Deficit spending is perfectly OK, but only to wage war, a popular trick they have developed four times in the last 50 years.
And this amazing prodigious American productivity of WWII was all accomplished under extraordinary and absolute control of the federal government.
Is that what you are really advocating Mr. Schwab?
