Editor,

I often have the feeling that I am living in a topsy turvey Alice In Wonderland world. I am reminded of that when I read the criticism of Israel by the British House of Commons for using military equipment in the Gaza war that was purchased in England. Did anyone in the House stop for a moment to think where the missiles fired into Israel were coming from? Did the House expect Israel to invade Finland or Bolivia to stop the missiles? This is the type of twisted logic that Israel has been subjected to from the very beginning. Is it any wonder that Israel has come to regard the protestations of the international community with suspicion? Even now, Palestinian journalists who met last week in Tel Aviv with their Israeli colleagues are being labeled collaborators by Fatah and Hamas and face blackballing in the West Bank and Gaza. Any Palestinian who suggests some sort of normalization with Israel is going to live (or die) to regret it.
