Mary Irene Barbero Perucca, born Oct. 14, 1915, died peacefully in her sleep Aug. 14, 2016.
The daughter of Italian immigrants, she was a lifelong San Franciscan until moving to Redwood City in her later years.
Mary Irene Barbero Perucca, born Oct. 14, 1915, died peacefully in her sleep Aug. 14, 2016.
The daughter of Italian immigrants, she was a lifelong San Franciscan until moving to Redwood City in her later years.
Mary was devoted to her family and took pleasure in family gatherings, gardening, knitting, reading, the San Francisco Giants and trips to Reno.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Peter Frank Perucca, sister Catherine Pucci and brother Martin Barbero. She leaves behind daughters Marie Perucca-Ramirez (Julio) and Linda Landucci; and grandchildren Chiara Ramirez, Jesse Ramirez (Georgina), Peter Landucci and Andrew Landucci (Genevieve); her sister Domenica Barbero Perucca, and many nieces and nephews and their families. She was well loved.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at Crippen & Flynn Redwood City followed by a 7 p.m. rosary. The funeral mass will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Redwood City, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.
