Kathryn “Kati” Lindbloom Renner, born Oct. 15, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, to Arthur and Dorothy Lindbloom, died at home in Sisters, Oregon, March 1, 2018.
Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Vernon Renner, sister Janice Lindbloom, brother Arthur Lindbloom, nephews Mike and Bob Lindbloom, niece Stephanie Ruttert, four stepchildren Melanie, Julie, Brent and Amy.
Kati attended schools in Chicago, graduating from Morgan Park High School. She attended colleges in Southern Illinois, and Santa Clara University, earning a BA in geography, MA in communication and an MBA.
While on vacation, Kati and Vernon found Sisters to be an ideal community to live out their lives. She volunteered at the Chamber of Commerce, providing guidance to visitors. She had a keen knowledge of the city and surrounding community. She knew the streets, businesses and places of interest.
Kati will be sorely missed by her family, co-workers, friends, community and Sebastian, the family cat.
In lieu of flowers, send a contribution to the Sisters Chamber of Commerce scholarship fund.
Services will be 1 p.m. April 7, at St. Edward the Martyr Catholic Church. Reception to follow at the church.
