Kathleen A. McMillan, a pillar of the San Carlos Community for over 50 years, passed away peacefully in her home August 21, 2024, at the age of 80.
Kathy was born September 17, 1943 in La Crosse, WI to George E. Yeske III and Myrtle Imilkowski (Yeske), she had 6 siblings. After graduating from High School, she met the love of her life, Herb McMillan, whom she married in 1963. Together, they had three beautiful children: Steven, Eric, and Gena McMillan. They were blessed with three wonderful grandchildren: Tina, Georgia, and Westley McMillan and one dear great-grandchild: Christopher Walsh.
A lover of many hobbies and experiencing new places, she spent much of her time painting, crafting and travelling with family and friends. A renowned people-person, she made many friends as a mail carrier, retiring after 30+ years. Kathy was active in her community through volunteering, which included the Chickens’ Ball fundraisers for the performing arts programs in the San Carlos School District.
Kathy was full of life and was loved by all who met her, she will be missed dearly. A celebration of life will be held on September 20, 2024, from 12 - 3 p.m. at The American Legion Post 585, 1159 Bush Street, San Carlos.
