James Manford Trees

James Manford Trees, born Feb. 11, 1930, in Clear Lake, Iowa, died Sept. 5, 2018, in San Carlos, California, at the age of 88.

Most people knew him as Jim. Jim will be remembered by his wife Audrey and his eldest son Jay and youngest son Jon, and grandchildren Tyler and Lauren. Jim graduated from Armstrong High School in Iowa, in 1948. He enlisted in the Navy in 1950 and trained as a radio operator. Jim served four years on a submarine patrolling the Pacific Ocean and was discharged in 1954. Jim was a successful businessman and entrepreneur. He founded Haltek Electronics, located in Mountain View, California, that later became Test Lab Company. He later retired in 2001.
