Hermann Karl Horn, born Nov., 22, 1937, in Netphen, Germany, died Jan. 30, 2017.
One of 12 children of Ferdinand and Anna Horn, he immigrated in 1957 at the age of 19. Within two years, he met the love of his life Judy Milla. They were married in San Francisco on July 30, 1960. They raised three children, Karin (Richard), Edward (Mary) and Jennifer (Jeff). He is survived by his wife Judy, five siblings, his three children, their spouses and 11 grandchildren.
Hermann was incredibly passionate about his family and friends. He was renowned for spending time with his loved ones, writing letters and making numerous well-wishing phone calls daily.
He was a devoted parishioner of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Belmont — singing in the choir, throwing his annual Oktoberfest and cultivating a beautiful church memorial garden. Living life to the fullest, he enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and trips to his beloved cabin.
Services will be Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Belmont with a 9:30 a.m. visitation, 10 a.m. rosary and 10:30 a.m. funeral mass.
