Frank “Jay” Prisco Jr., father, Eagle Scout, friend, maker of cioppino, born June 27, 1944, died Dec. 7, 2018.
Jay had many titles and friends in San Mateo still recall the years he lived here and owned his local ad business, The Art Dept., Ink.
Raised in San Bruno, Jay moved to San Mateo in his 20s and was active with the Jaycees. He married and started a business in Burlingame, then operated out of Foster City for years until he relocated to Danville. Once retired, Jay moved to Tehachapi where he regularly volunteered in the community. Unfortunately, in the last few years, Jay battled health issues to which he succumbed last December.
He is survived by his son, Frank “Joe” Prisco III, daughter, Lisa Prisco Taner and three grandchildren. One of Jay’s favorite quotes is from the movie Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, where Willie says to Charlie Bucket, “Charlie, don’t forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he always wanted. He lived happily ever after.” “We hope wherever Jay is, he has found his happily ever after.”
