Renee Himel's silk boxer shorts have give a whole new meaning to the idea of skiing by the seat of your pants.
Boxers made by Himel's company, Silk Trails, features detailed, brightly colored maps of some of the West's most popular ski areas, including Park City, Utah. They have become the hottest souvenir item in many resorts since monogrammed turtlenecks.
Himel soon will have a much larger stage. Her company is the official supplier of silk and cotton boxers to the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City.
The most popular style Himel has created features Vail's front trails on the front and the back bowls on the backside.
The maps so closely resemble the trail maps skiers pick up in the lift line that each pair has a tag of warning: No looking down for directions while on the slopes.
