Burlingame resident Rachel Coaquira turned over her Miss Teen California crown last weekend to San Jose resident Sarah Chapman. Coaquira served for a year and is now concentrating on studying nursing at Skyline College in San Bruno. She said she is contemplating the possibility of trying for Miss California after she graduates.

Queen Ida and her Zydeco Band will be headlining the annual San Mateo County Fair this year.
Other performers include John Kay and Steppenwolf, ABBA tribute band Bjorn Again, Grand Funk Railroad, Blues performer Tommy Castro, local favorite Tower of Power, the Village People and definitely last but not least
