Daniel Collins
A San Carlos man who pleaded no contest to molesting an underage relative was sentenced to 22 years and eight months in state prison Friday, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.
Daniel Joseph Collins, 31, was charged with 46 felonies he allegedly committed between 2008 and 2014 and faced up to life in prison.
He pleaded no contest to nine felonies in January for child molestation and possession of child pornography.
The victim was 7 years old when the molestations started and lasted for six years, according to prosecutors.
He also taped the interactions with the girl.
He was given credit for 585 days served and must register as a sex offender for life.
