An alleged counterfeit money plant was busted Monday by South San Francisco police with two people landing in the county jail.
During a search of a hotel room, police discovered narcotics paraphernalia, counterfeit $20 bills printed on sheets of printing paper, laptop computers, a computer scanner, a computer printer, laminator, counterfeit checks, California drivers’ licenses and other items used to manufacture counterfeit checks and currency and drivers’ licenses, according to police.
Police were led to the room after Officer Dave Stahlor stopped a vehicle driven by Craig Ogans, 47, on the 700 block of Airport Boulevard. Ogans was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant. Police found a counterfeit drivers’ license, narcotics paraphernalia, multiple counterfeit $20 bills and $20 bills printed on a piece of uncut paper, according to police.
Investigators went to the motel and found the additional material along with Charmaine Cassandra, 21, who was also arrested.

Authorities were searching Friday for an inmate who escaped from a conservation camp in Tehama County.
James Miller, 37, allegedly stole a truck that belonged to a fire captain to make his escape, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
Inmates at conservation camps fight fires, but Miller was not doing that when he escaped, corrections officials said.
He was imprisoned for first-degree burglary, vehicle theft and possession of a controlled substance out of San Mateo County. He was not scheduled to be paroled until September of 2009.
Miller was described as white, having brown hair and brown eyes, and weighing 125 pounds. He has a tattoo on his neck and upper left arm.
The stolen vehicle was a white Dodge 2002 king cab pickup truck with a California license plate of 6V65932.<
