The barely perceptible physical evidence left behind in a stolen Lexus - like hair strands and clothing fibers - could help put the cuffs on the missing suspects involved in a chilling Hillsborough home invasion that left a woman dead and sent her boyfriend to the emergency room last month.
The evidence will likely help fill out some physical description of the suspects and potentially lead to an identification, said Hillsborough police Capt. Mark O'Connor. No specific timeline for a potential identification was identified.
"The forensics team is in the process of comparing all the evidence," O'Connor said. "We have tremendous confidence in the team at the county lab."
A team of technicians at the San Mateo County Forensics Lab finished processing all physical evidence collected from the white Lexus discovered just miles away from the mansion where Priscilla Ng was killed. Police believe suspects used the car to make a getaway from the sprawling Butternut Drive home.
Right now, there are few leads on the two Asian male suspects who broke into the mansion the morning of June 19. The invasion led to the death of Priscilla Ng and sent boyfriend Andrew Chang to the emergency room with a skull fracture. Because the victims' heads were covered with blankets and bedding, Chang recalls few details about the suspects.
Meanwhile, O'Connor said detectives continue to conduct interviews with all those who may have knowledge of the case. Just yesterday, police spoke with several of her business contacts from the East Bay and San Francisco.
Investigators are also pouring over the mountain of documents pertaining to Ng's business records, divorce proceedings and personal possessions, including her daily planner.

Priscilla Ng and Andrew Chang were still asleep in the master bedroom when the intruders entered the second-story master bedroom. Blankets and bedding were placed over their heads - most likely to obscure their vision - according to police reports. The confused victims were bound by electrical cords and received "blunt force trauma" to their heads and faces before any demands were made.
When Andrew Chang asked the intruders what they wanted, the suspects demanded cash and jewelry. The victims were then strangled with a ligature. Tape was then placed over the faces of Priscilla and Andrew, which resulted in asphyxiation and death to Priscilla Ng.
Despite suffering a fractured skull, Andrew Chang was able to crawl to an adjacent room where he dialed 911.
Police are searching for a jade necklace ripped from the body of Priscilla Ng the morning she died.
An eyewitness noted a mysterious white Toyota sedan in the parking lot of the Burlingame Shopping Plaza along El Camino Real the morning of the crime.
The car was unusual because the headlights were on, and the parking lot is relatively clear at around 5 a.m. when it was spotted. A person was sitting in the vehicle, according to the eyewitness.
