Smoke might be seen in the area of a 5-acre training burn at the San Andreas dam face near Burlingame Monday, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection announced in cooperation with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.
The burn near the Crystal Springs Reservoir will be conducted between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and is a training opportunity for Cal Fire, local fire protection districts and SFPUC staff to implement wildland fire suppression techniques, firing methods and to observe fire behavior, according to Cal Fire.
Thank you for teaching training for the possibility of wild fires in the Crestview areas and canyon areas of the peninsula. Cal Fire is always ready and waiting to serve our communities...Thank you all so much.
