Dr. Sheliah Burnette-Lyle was named the new director of Student Services of the San Mateo Union High School District. She will oversee matters from counseling, student health and wellness programs as well as attendance. Burnette-Lyle served in a similar role in South Carolina previously.

The robots team from Junípero Serra High School will be competing at the 2025 World Championship in Texas after coming in second at the competitive Silicon Valley Regional competition. The robots team is ranked in the top 3% of robotics competition teams globally this year.
