Cheerleader mug

Anjela Jose

Since last month’s death of Anjela Jose, her former schools, South San Francisco High School and College of San Mateo, continue to hold vigil for the former cheerleader.

Jose, 20, was killed Sunday, Oct. 14 in a car crash on Interstate 280 north near Edgewood Road in Redwood City. A cheerleader at San Jose State University, she left campus in the early morning hours following a SJSU football game when her 2009 Toyota Corolla drifted off the road. She was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the driver’s seat. Jose was the lone occupant of the car. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
