Terra Nova 105, South City 116
The Tigers and Warriors managed to get an official match in before the storm came, with Terra Nova posting a 5-hole win over the Warriors at Mariner’s Point Golf Complex in Foster City. South City head coach Aaron Boyd said in an email that teams need to play at least five holes for a match to be considered official. He also said the teams teed off at 2:45 p.m. and were wrapped up by 3:30 p.m.
“No slow play issues with these two teams,” Boyd said in the email. “The entire course to ourselves, very few practice swings, kids running to their ball. Ready golf in effect. It was beautiful.”
Terra Nova’s Mark Heuser shot a 17 for low-score honors. Teammate Leo Buhagiar had a 4-over 19. South City was led by Joseph Preciado, who finished with a 22.
