The Scots outlasted the Knights in a five-set thriller — 26-28, 25-14, 24-22, 25-27, 15-11.
Chloe Armstrong led the offense for Hillsdale (2-2 PAL Bay, 6-7 overall), finishing with 16 kills. Gianna Morrow added six blocks for the Knights.
Carlmont improves to 3-1 in Bay play and 6-7 overall.
Aragon 3, Burlingame 1
The Dons stayed undefeated in Bay Division play with the win over the Panthers — 25-21, 23-25, 25-17, 25-23.
Poppy McKenzie led Aragon (4-0 PAL Bay, 8-2 overall), finishing with 15 kills, four service aces, three blocks and five digs. Gabriella Xiao led the Dons with six aces, while Sosefina Tatola directed the offense with 15 assists.
Half Moon Bay 3, Woodside 0
The Cougars earned their first Ocean Division win of the season with a 25-19, 25-17, 25-10 win over the Wildcats.
Caoimhe Gallagher led the offense for HMB (1-3 PAL Ocean, 10-5 overall), finishing with 17 kills, six digs and a pair of service aces. Paisley Harris led the defense as the libero finished with 10 digs.
Woodside falls to 0-4 in Ocean play and 1-8 overall.
Sacred Heart Prep 3, Harker 0
The Gators cruised to the West Bay Athletic League win.
The first set was a war of attrition, with SHP (3-0 WBAL Foothill, 11-1 overall) finally pulling out a 32-30 win. The Gators then finished off the sweep 15-21 and 25-18.
Poema Ueligitone paced the offense for SHP, finishing with 17 kills. Peyton Fu-Sarosa was a digging machine for the Gators, finishing with 20, while Kiley McGibben pumped out 27 assists.

Menlo-Atherton (3-1 PAL Bay, 10-7 overall) swept Sequoia (2-2, 8-7) — 25-15, 25-23, 25-23.
Westmoor (1-3 PAL Ocean, 3-12 overall) snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 25-18, 25-11, 25-14 win over South City (0-4, 1-10).
San Mateo (3-1 PAL Ocean, 4-4 overall) needed four sets to get past Mills (3-1, 7-10) — 25-22, 22-25, 26-24, 25-20.
Capuchino (4-0 PAL Ocean) stayed atop the Ocean Division standings with a 25-16, 25-17, 25-17 win over Jefferson (1-3, 2-7).
El Camino (3-1 PAL Ocean) cruised past Terra Nova (1-3) — 25-10, 25-10, 25-11.
Boys’ water polo
Sequoia 13, Hillsdale 12
In a battle of Bay Division contenders, the defending tri-champion Ravens pulled out the win over the Knights.
The match was nip-and-tuck the entire way. Sequoia (2-1 PAL Bay, 7-4 overall) led 4-3 after the first period and 7-6 at halftime. The Ravens outscored Hillsdale (1-2, 7-3) 3-2 in the third to take a two-goal lead, 10-8, going into the fourth period. The Knights outscored Sequoia 4-3 over the final seven minutes, but came up short.
Alexi Bonnet led Sequoia with five goals, while Parker Lee netted five and assisted on a sixth for Hillsdale.
Woodside 9, Priory 3
Another of the three teams that shared the Bay Division title in 2024, the Wildcats cruised past the Panthers.
William Stevenson paced the offense for Woodside (1-1 PAL Bay, 2-4 overall), scoring five goals and adding a pair of assists. Goalie Brody Pfeffer finished with seven saves.

Girls’ water polo
Woodside 12, Terra Nova 7
Wildcats goalie Kate McGrory was the star of the show as her performance in the cage backed the win over the Tigers.
McGrory finished with 10 saves for Woodside (2-0 PAL Bay, 2-3 overall). Olivia Evan led the Wildcats’ offense, scoring three times. She also had a strong day defensively, coming up with three steals.
Terra Nova falls to 1-1 in Bay play and 2-3 overall.
In other action ...
Akira Snyder scored five goals and had three assists to lead Aragon (1-1 PAL Bay, 4-2 overall) to a 13-2 win over Sequoia (0-3).
Girls’ golf
Mills 218, Menlo-Atherton 302
The Vikings rebounded from their first Bay Division loss of the season by trouncing the Bears at Baylands Golf Links in Palo Alto.
Irene Hur, a freshman, led the way for Mills (5-1 PAL Bay), firing a 1-under 35. Angelina Chen came in a 3-over 36, Christina Chen a 46 and Kayli Tsang a 46 for the Vikings.
M-A (0-5) was led by Linh Nguyen and Sofia Nguyen, who both shot rounds of 54.
Burlingame 177, Sequoia 190
Elaina Foley led the Panthers to the win over the Ravens with a solid round at Mariners Point Golf Complex in Foster City.
Foley’s 2-over 29 was the lowest score by a PAL Ocean Division player this season at Mariners Point as Burlingame (4-0 PAL Ocean) stayed undefeated in league play, while handing Sequoia (4-1) its first loss of the season. Teammate Jolene Liu wasn’t far off the pace, finishing with a 4-over 31. Sharon Sims finished with a 35, Micah Zhon a 40 and Ashlynn Wong a 42.
Sequoia (4-1) was led by Kayla Royad, who finished with a 33. Presley Ackerholt finished with a 37, McKella Cuneo a 39, Ella Kennedy a 40 and Kaitlyn Knockey a 41.
In other action ...
Saoirse Price shot a 33 to lead El Camino (4-2) to a 210-228 win over rival South City (2-4) at Fleming Park at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco. South City was led by Ashley Lau, who finished with a 36.
Girls’ tennis
Menlo-Atherton 6, Sequoia 1
Marissa Hom won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 singles to help lead the Bears to the win over the Ravens.
The No. 3 doubles team for M-A (3-2 PAL Bay), Julia Maggio and Aarushi Srivastava, rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 win.
Sequoia (1-4) got it win from No. 3 singles player, Emily Loo, who won 6-4, 6-2.
Woodside 7, South City 0
The Wildcats remained undefeated in PAL Ocean Division play with the sweep of South City.
Bridgit Warren, playing at No. 4 singles, and the No. 1 doubles team of Talian Berghold and Juliana Costa both won their matches, 6-0, 6-0.
In other action ...
Hillsdale (4-1 PAL Ocean) kept the pressure on Woodside with a 6-1 win over El Camino (2-3).
Oceana (4-1 PAL Ocean) also stayed in contention for an Ocean title as they slipped past Capuchino (3-2), 4-3.
Westmoor (2-3) shut out Terra Nova (0-5), 7-0.
