Hillsdale 6, Oceana 1
The Knights remained in a tie for first place in the Ocean Division with their win over the Sharks and Woodside’s win over El Camino.
Hillsdale (12-1 PAL Ocean, 13-5 overall) was dominant in its six wins, winning all in straight sets. Lia Svidler dropped only one game at No. 3 singles in a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Eden Jacobson and Liana Macomber, playing at No. 2 doubles, won by the same score.
Oceana (6-7) got its win at No. 1 singles, where Sara Byun outlasted Hillsdale’s Jenna Wan in three sets, 6-4, 0-6, 10-6.
Woodside 4, El Camino 3
The Wildcats captured wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to slip past the Colts and remain in a first-place tie with Hillsdale atop the Ocean Division standings.
Tatiana Berghold and Julianna Costa, playing a No. 1 doubles for Woodside (12-1 PAL Ocean, 13-1 overall) won 6-2, 6-3. The No. 2 doubles team of Peyton Atkins and Lucille Palmer posted a 7-6(3), 6-2 victory.
El Camino (7-6) won two of the four singles matches. Jonie Virtucio won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, while No. 3 singles player Zayna Juhar posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory.
Carlmont 5, Menlo-Atherton 2
The Scots are a win away from an undefeated Bay Division campaign after beating the Bears.
With No. 1 singles player Zoe Hendricks sitting out, Megan Bence took over the top spot and cruised to a 6-1, 6-4 victory. Shruti Sivaraman was dominant at No. 4 singles for the Scots, winning 6-0, 6-1.
M-A (7-6) picked up wins at No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles. Julianne Hanson posted a 6-3, 7-6(5) win in singles, while the doubles team of Julia Maggio and Acacia Yoon won their match 6-2, 6-2.
Sacred Heart Prep 5, Crystal 2
The Gators won the first two singles matches at love and then swept the doubles to beat the Gryphons in a WBAL match.
Charlotte Weber, No. 1 singles, and No. 2 singles player Jena Azmeh boht won their matches 6-0, 6-0.
SHP had to work a little harder in the doubles matches, especially at No. 1 doubles where Hailey Parsons and Abgail Gruber needed a third-set super tiebreaker to win 7-5, 4-6, 10-8.

Menlo School (6-1 WBAL, 19-3 overall) swept Notre Dame-Belmont, 7-0.
Aragon (10-3 PAL Bay, 16-4 overall) rolled past Mills (6-7, 10-7), 6-1.
Burlingame (10-3 PAL Bay, 14-5 overall) blanked Sequoia (3-10), 7-0.
San Mateo (3-10 PAL Bay) had little trouble with Half Moon Bay (0-13), winning 6-1.
Capuchino (8-5 PAL Ocean) got past Westmoor (3-10), 4-3.
South City (4-9 PAL Ocean) beat Terra Nova (0-13), 5-2.
Volleyball
Menlo School 3, Notre Dame-Belmont 2
The Knights may have ended the Tigers WBAL Foothill Division title hopes by outlasting them in five sets — 25-19, 26-24, 13-25, 18-25, 15-12.
Menlo (7-3 WBAL) moved into a virtual tie for second place with Notre Dame-Belmont (8-3). Both are now three games behind division leading Sacred Heart Prep.
Freshman Gianna Goudey led the Knights attack, finishing with 20 kills. Outside hitter Alex Fair, a sophomore, posted a double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs, while senior Ava Wang was a digging machine, finishing with 33.
Junior setter Jamie Johnson pumped out 34 assists for Menlo.

Summit Shasta 3, Design Tech 0
The Black Bears wrapped up their PSAL schedule with an undefeated run after sweeping the Dragons 25-9, 25-11, 25-23.
Summit Shasta (10-0 PSAL, 23-8 overall) was led by senior Bianca Flores, who finished with 12 kills, 11 digs and five service aces. Setters Ysabelle Galvez and Jordan Hana Go combined for 29 assists.
Design Tech falls to 5-5 in PSAL play and 9-10 overall.
Menlo-Atherton 3, Aragon 1
The Bears claimed at least a share of the PAL Bay Division title following a 25-23, 18-25, 25-14, 25-9 win over the Dons.
M-A (11-1 PAL Bay, 21-8) stayed two games ahead of second-place Carlmont and eliminated Aragon (8-4, 17-7) from title contention with two matches left to play on the Bay Division schedule.
Mills 3, South City 0
The Vikings pulled into a tie for second place in the Ocean Division standings with a 26-24, 25-13, 25-18 win over the Warriors.
Abigail Purvey paced the offense for Mills (9-3 PAL Ocean, 15-15 overall), finishing with 13 kills. The Vikings used two setters to guide the offense. Noelle Young, a senior, posted 20 assists, while Kara da Luz, a sophomore, added 14.
In other action ...
Nueva School (7-3 PSAL, 10-8 overall) swept Pacific Bay Christian (2-8, 10-13) — 25-16, 25-20, 25-10.
Carlmont (9-3 PAL Bay, 15-10 overall) kept its faint title hopes alive with a 25-16, 25-22, 25-12 win over Woodside. The Scots are two games back of M-A with two matches remaining.
Burlingame (7-5 PAL Bay, 13-12 overall) swept Hillsdale (3-9, 7-20), 25-20, 25-13, 25-14.
Sequoia (7-5 PAL Bay, 7-12 overall) beat Half Moon Bay (3-9, 13-14) in four sets –21-25, 25-13, 25-13, 25-18.
El Camino (9-3 PAL Ocean) stayed in a second-place tie with Mills following a 25-15, 25-13, 25-9 sweep of Jefferson (2-10, 3-14).
Westmoor (5-7 PAL Ocean, 7-17 overall) swept Terra Nova (2-10) — 25-12, 25-15, 25-20.
Boys’ water polo
Burlingame 26, Carlmont 4
The Panthers kept pace with M-A in the loss column with the win over the Scots.
Burlingame (7-2 PAL Bay, 13-7 overall) has the same number of losses as Menlo-Atherton, but still have one more match to play than the Bears.
Lucas Carlson led the Panthers offense, pouring in 10 goals.
Menlo-Atherton 16, Priory 5
The Bears stayed in a virtual tie with Burlingame atop the Bay Division standings with the win over the Panthers.
M-A (8-2 PAL Bay, 10-5 overall) leads Burlingame (7-2) by half a game. The Bears have two games remaining on their Bay Division schedule, while the Panthers have three.
Girls’ water polo
Aragon 13, Carlmont 3
Emily Troy scored five times to lead the Dons past the Scots.
Aragon improves to 5-3 in PAL Bay play and 8-4 overall, while Carlmont falls to 0-7 in division play.
In other action ...
Half Moon Bay (6-5 PAL Ocean) beat Mercy (2-10), 7-4.
