Half Moon Bay 58, Hillsdale 39
The Cougars took an 18-4 lead after the first quarter and led 29-12 at halftime as they cruised to the win over the Knights in the seventh-place game of the 48th annual Burlingame Lions Club Invitational tournament.
Owen Perez, Daniel Moctezuma and Martin Garduno-Martin all had 13 points for HMB (2-3 overall). Hillsdale drops to 1-4.
Terra Nova 53, Pacific Collegiate-Santa Cruz 34
The Tigers snapped a three-game losing streak with the win over the Pumas.
Kai Gieraths scored 15 points and Jonathan Martins-Rettes added 10 to help lead Terra Nova (2-3 overall).
Pacific Collegiate falls to 1-4 on the season.
Lick Wilmerding 65, Aragon 47
A 7-point third quarter doomed the Dons chances against the Tigers in the Lowell tournament.
Aragon (3-3 overall) was in the game until that point. The Dons trailed 18-11 after the first quarter, but trailed by one, 30-29, at halftime. But Lick Wilmerding (2-5) outscored the Dons 20-7 in the third to take control of the game.
San Mateo 57, AIMS College Prep-Oakland 44
The Bearcats opened up an 18-7 lead after the first period and never let the Golden Eagles back into the game.
San Mateo (5-1 overall) added 18 more in the second quarter to lead 36-18 at halftime.
AIMS College Prep falls to 2-7.
El Camino 63, Summit Shasta 53
The Colts outscored the Black Bears 18-6 in the second quarter to lead 28-20 at halftime as they snapped the Black Bears’ three-game winning streak at the Lowell tournament.
Eli Ledesma scored a game-high 24 points to lead El Camino (3-2 overall). Markson Jacques grabbed 12 rebounds for the Colts.
Summit Shasta falls to 3-3.
In other action...
Menlo School (6-1) got past Leland (5-3), 50-41.
Girls’ basketball
Hillsdale 52, Sacred Heart Prep 45
The Knights stayed undefeated with the win over the Gators in the Steve Geramoni Invitational hosted by Notre Dame-Belmont.
Hillsdale (4-0 overall) led 26-23 at halftime and still held a three-point lead with three minutes left, but held off SHP (2-4).
Daniella Sierra posted a double-double for the Knights, scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Adison Wilmurt added 15 points on five 3-pointers.
SHP was led by Kate Baron, who scored a game-high 22 points. Jansen Olliges added 17 for the Gators.
Notre Dame-Belmont 43, Lick Wilmerding 38
After scoring 14 points in the first half, the Tigers scored 20 points in the third quarter to take control and hold off the Lick Wilmerding in the Steve Geramoni Invitational.
NDB (7-0 overall) trailed 9-3 after the first quarter and was still down 17-14 at halftime.
The loss was the first of the season for Lick Wilmerding (6-1).
Half Moon Bay 63, Presentation 25
The Cougars scored 29 points in the first half before scoring 21 in the third in a rout of the Panthers.
HMB (4-2 overall) held Presentation (1-5) to single-digit scoring in all four quarters.

Aragon 3, South City 2
The Dons led 2-0 at halftime and then needed a third after the Warriors scored twice in the second half.
Jeffrey Sanchez Pelaez opened the scoring for Aragon (2-0 PAL Bay, 3-2 overall), off an assist from Claudio Dominguez Lopez. Gabe Wilcox and Andrew Alatta each added an unassisted goal.
Nehemiah Gomez and Julian Zaragosa scored for South City (0-2, 0-5).
El Camino 7, Design Tech 0
The Colts, leading 3-0 at halftime, added four more in the second half to cruise past the Dragons in a non-league game.
Daniel Figueroa Jr. continues his strong play, scoring four times and assisting one one more for El Camino (4-0-1 overall). Manny Tafolla, a freshman, had a goal and two assists, while Santino Frances and Emilio Jimenez had added one of each, as well.
Design Tech falls to 0-1-1 on the season.
Capuchino 4, San Mateo 3
The Mustangs handed the Bearcats their first PAL Ocean Division loss of the season.
Tied at 2-all at halftime, Capuchino (2-2-1 PAL Bay, 3-3-1 overall) added two more in the second to notch the win.
Christopher Izaquirre scored twice for the Mustangs, with Edwin Garfias and Mile Lin rounding out the scoring.
Antony Navarro had a goal and an assist for San Mateo (3-1-1, 4-2-1). Efrain Celis Bueno and Nick Leal also scored goals for the Bearcats.
Terra Nova 2, Westmoor 1
Victor Ramirez had a goal and an assist to help lead the Tigers past the Rams in a PAL Ocean Division match.
Theo Eskanazi had an assist for Terra Nova (2-1-1 PAL Bay, 2-1-1 overall).
Cesar Rivera converted a penalty kick for Westmoor (0-4, 0-4).
Mills 1, Jefferson 0
Lucas Zaninovich scored off an assist from Julian Mindell to give the Vikings the win over the Grizzlies.
Mills improves to 2-2 in PAL Ocean Division play and 2-3-1 overall. Jefferson falls to 0-1-3 in Ocean play and 0-3-3 overall.
Half Moon Bay 1, Oceana 0
Luis Partida’s unassisted goal in the first half was enough to lift the Cougars past the Sharks.
HMB improves to 3-1-1 in Ocean play and 3-1-1 overall. Oceana falls to 1-4.

Burlingame (1-1 PAL Bay, 1-1-1 overall) scored in the second half to beat Sequoia (0-2, 2-3-1).
