Oceana 51, Drew 45
The Sharks (8-9 overall) entered the fourth quarter with a 16-point lead and held off a closing run by Drew-SF (10-8) to snap a five-game losing streak. Drew outscored Oceana 16-6 in the final period, but Dylan Fulton hit two free throws down the stretch to seal the win for the Sharks. Fulton, a sophomore, scored a team-high 17 points. Valeria Martinez added 10. Oceana, while still winless in PAL North Division play, boosts its non-league record to 8-4.
Notre Dame-Belmont 53, Mercy-SF 34
The Tigers (9-8 overall) snapped a five-game losing streak with a non-league win over Mercy-SF (7-9). Senior Jasmine Masuda paced NDB with 17 points. Since starting the new year with a gritty 38-37 win over South City, the Tigers have gone 0-5 through West Bay Athletic League play.

Half Moon Bay 66, Terra Nova 52
Half Moon Bay (4-1 PAL North, 11-7 overall) outscored its rival 17-3 in the second quarter, and 21-10 in the third in a battle for first place in the PAL North Division with archrival Terra Nova (4-2, 12-6). HMB sophomore guard Mykola Ediger popped five 3s, including three in the first half, to score 17 points. But the Cougars were paced by forward Sorie Syme’s game-high 21 points. Justin Milch led Terra Nova with 17 points, while Jack Bellinger added 13.
With the win, HMB moves into a first-place tie with Jefferson, with third-place Terra Nova a half game back.
Jefferson 58, Westmoor 54
Jefferson (4-1 PAL North, 10-7 overall) maintained its first-place standing in the PAL North Division, overcoming a 15-10 first-quarter deficit to top Westmoor (3-2, 10-8). The Grizzlies balanced the scoring, with sophomore Brooks Daniels going for a team-best 12 points, senior Luis Villareal adding 11, senior Jovani Image with 10 and seniors JJ Cruz and Marquez Costiniano with nine apiece. The Rams were paced by a game-high 13 points from junior Jasaiah Cox.
South City 54, El Camino 34
The Warriors (1-4 PAL North, 6-10 overall) brought home their first league win of the season against their rival, jumping out to a 32-18 halftime lead and adding from there. Junior guard Nicholas Alimorong hit four 3-pointers to score a game-high 21 points, while Justin Slie added 14 for South City. El Camino (2-3, 3-16) was led by junior guard Puneet Kumar’s eight points.
Menlo-Atherton 58, Woodside 30
The Bears (6-0 PAL South, 14-5 overall) won their 10th straight behind a dominant showing, outscoring Woodside 32-22 in the first half then going on an 18-3 run in the third quarter. There were just four made 3s in the game, with M-A hitting three of them. Junior guard Nick Tripaldi scored a game-high 12 points, sophomore Skylar Thomas added nine, and Heath Hooper and Justin Anderson added eight apiece. The Wildcats (0-5, 5-12), who lost their sixth straight, were led by sophomore Kyle Knudson’s nine points.
Carlmont 50, Sequoia 37
The Scots (5-1 PAL South, 15-3 overall) went on a 17-2 second-quarter tear to maintain outright control of second place in the PAL South Division. Sho Takahashi and Sammy Bean hit two 3s each for Carlmont, with Takahashi scoring a game-high 13 points. Bean added nine. Sequoia senior Dimitri Trikas scored a team-high nine points.

Hillsdale 47, Aragon 37
The Knights (4-2 PAL South, 11-7 overall) used a strong first half to snap a personal three-game losing streak against the rival Dons (2-4, 8-10), dating back to 2016-17. Freshman guard Calvin Mader-Clark scored a game-high 19 points, with three 3-pointers for Hillsdale. Sam Manu hit three 3s for Aragon to score a team-high 17.
Burlingame 48, San Mateo 44, OT
The Panthers overcame a 22-15 halftime deficit to force overtime, outscoring the Bearcats 9-5 in the extra period. With the win, Burlingame maintains its tie for third place in the PAL South Division. Freshman guard Sean Richardson dished for a career-high 10 assists, while junior forward Taylor Clark recorded a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Junior guard Anthony Sylvestri added 12 points for the Panthers. The Bearcats were led by 11 points from senior guard Ryan Miles-Ferguson, and Jackson Chew added 10.
Mills 70, Capuchino 60
The rivals cobined for 18 made 3-pointers, but Mills guard Colby Vasquez needed just two of them while putting on a show. The senior scored a game-high 34 points, rallying the Vikings (4-2 PAL South, 8-10 overall) to take over the game in the third quarter. Deadlocked 37-37 at the half, the game took a turn with Mills outscoring Cap 17-7 over the next eight minutes. Senior guard Aaron Chen added 17 points, and senior Quinn Bura added 14 for the Vikings, who tallied their highest point total since 2016-17, and their best in league play since ’14-15. Senior guard Dylan Ackerman paced Cap with 13 points, totaling three of his team’s 11 made 3s. The Mustangs (2-4, 6-12) shot 38 percent from beyond the arc.

Westmoor 49, Jefferson 34
The Rams (2-3 PAL North, 9-8 overall) steadied the ride after an early letdown, using an aggressive approach to outscore the rival Grizzlies (1-4, 5-12) through each of the first three quarters. Jefferson opened on a seven-point run, but Westmoor responded with a 12-3 run. After taking a 22-14 lead into the half, the Rams got a big third quarter from junior Teuila Tuiasosopo, who scored seven of her game-high nine points in the period. Jeff junior Kristy Flores matched the game-high with nine points.
Carlmont 41, Sequoia 36
Erica Mendiola totaled four 3-pointers and a game-high 15 points to climb the Lady Scots (5-1 PAL South, 14-4 overall) back into a first-place tie with Sequoia in the PAL South Division. Senior forward Ashley Trierweiler added 12 points for Carlmont. Senior forward Soana Afu led all Cherokees scorers with 14. The two frontrunners, along with Menlo-Atherton, now have one league loss each on the season. The Scots previously fell 44-41 to M-A Jan. 11. Carlmont and Sequoia (5-1, 14-4) will meet again to close the regular season Feb. 8.
Menlo-Atherton 47, Woodside 36
With the game tied 33-33 at the end of three quarters, Menlo-Atherton (4-1 PAL South, 9-8 overall) closed on a 14-3 run to stay within a half game of first place in the PAL South Division. Oron Estes scored a team-high 13 points for the Bears, including three 3-pointers. Woodside (0-5, 9-5) sophomore Natalya Hotovec led all scorers with 19 points.
M-A is one of four teams in the PAL South — along with Mills, Woodside and Burlingame — with one game to make up due to last Wednesday’s storm conditions.
Aragon 61, Hillsdale 33
The Lady Dons (4-2 PAL South, 8-10 overall) jumped out to a 21-6 lead in the first quarter and kept hammering away for their second straight win. Eleven different Aragon players scored in the game, with Beth Parangan and Lydia Manu sharing the team-high with 11 points apiece. Hillsdale (1-5, 7-10) sophomore Yazmeen Ramirez scored a game-high 12.
San Mateo 46, Burlingame 37
Leading by 1 heading into the fourth quarter, San Mateo (2-4 PAL South, 3-14 overall) finished on a 20-12 run to take down Burlingame (0-5, 5-12). Three players accounted for all the Bearcats’ points. Audrey Morganstern went for a game-high 18, Trinity O’Mahoney added 16 and Akenesi Hafoka had 12. Junior guard Jordyn Kanaya led Burlingame with 11 points.
Mills 55, Capuchino 45
Mills (4-1 PAL South, 13-4 overall) was powered by 10 3-pointers, including five from point guard Kaela Stonebarger, who scored a game-high 23 points. Rachel Dumandan added three 3s and 13 points. Junior guard Chloe Tam racked up six assists. Capuchino had three scorers in double figures, with sophomore April Tuason and freshman Mele Afeaki totaling 13 apiece. Freshman Hailey Hoff added 12 points and three steals.
