Almost daily we hear President Trump fulminate that he was elected to accomplish goals he promised voters — securing the border, bringing jobs back, deporting, drilling — but do we ever hear him acknowledge that he was elected to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution? No, despite his obligation as president to see that all Constitutional provisions (including the Emoluments Clause, Freedom of the Press, the Article III provisions for the Judiciary, etc.) are faithfully enforced.

Instead of honing to the law, Trump leads his supporters to believe that, by electing him, they have earned the right to effectively amend the Constitution. He’s been ignoring and violating any of its sections that stand in the way of the MAGA agenda.

Thanks for your letter, Mr. Lerman. I’d like to take you seriously but the fact you completely ignore Biden-Harris and complicit Dems ignoring the invasion across our northern and southern borders tells me you’re not serious and this is just another “orange man bad” rant based on fake news and lies. Perhaps you should first pose your question, “Have oaths become a thing of the past?” to Democrats. You know, Democrats who prefer providing aid and shelter to criminal invaders more than their constituents. Meanwhile don’t forget Trump is scheduled to have a press conference with Elon Musk this morning along with a rally in Pittsburgh later today. Have a Trump-tastic day!

I'm challenged to see any relevance of your comment to my letter. Had I acknowledged that the prior Biden Administration had failings - and even the Trump first Admnistration - and the Obama one - ... and the Adams one ... and the Washington one .. would that allow you then to address the matter I raised? Governing within the boundaries established in the Constitution (and its established process for amendments) isn't something that you'll find came up in court case after court case for those prior administrations, as they are in this Trump II, which appears to be very much a revenge tour. I do appreciate your wanting to inform me of Biden's shortcomings I guess you're not aware that had I tried to cover your point, I'd have exceeded the 250 word limit.

Thanks for your response, Scrabjerry, although I’m challenged to see any relevance of your response to my comment. What is the “matter” you raised? Where are the violations of the Constitution? Where’s the push for a Constitutional amendment? Meanwhile, you conveniently forget those violating the Constitution (even though they took oaths to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution) - America Last Biden and complicit Democrats not securing our northern and southern borders. So again, perhaps you should first pose your question, “Have oaths become a thing of the past?” to Democrats. Also, there is no 250 word limit in the Comments section so please submit as many comments as you need in your attempts to cover my points. I’d prefer you incorporate facts and not mindlessly repeat the easily debunked Democrat playbook.

As for court cases, anyone can sue anyone for anything but it doesn’t mean the lawsuit has any merit. Let’s see how many make the final cut at the Supreme Court and how many ultimately rule against Trump. Perhaps then, Amendments will be proposed. BTW, I appreciate you offering to acknowledge the failings of prior administrations. So why, if there have been prior failings, would you push a double standard on Trump – expecting Trump to be perfect? Have a Trump-tastic day! How about Musk getting a gold key to the White House while wearing a Dogefather shirt?
