Editor,

I was disappointed by the Daily Journal’s decision to endorse my two opponents for election to the Millbrae City Council (“Holober and Oliva for Millbrae council” in the Oct. 5 edition of the Daily Journal). The glowing review bestowed on my opponents gives too much credit to a dysfunctional council that has not shown true leadership, and little attention was provided to the multiple failures in solving other challenges.

You You,

Your support of rent control and Prop 10 is inexplicable and inexcusable. We all know that rent control drives up prices, reduces supply. Economist almost unanimously oppose rent control. If you want me to cite research papers to help you understand, by all means, let me know.

You appear to be supporting something you do not fully understand, just because it "sounds" popular. Don't go that demagogue path. You are still young. Learn.

Millbrae Community Television (MCTV) hosted a City Council "Forum." It was not intended to be a back-and-forth "debate." Thank you to Councilmembers Holober and Oliva for recognizing and respecting the differences and representing themselves in a mature and professional manner. Thank you MCTV for providing an opportunity for the candidates to show themselves to the voters.
