While there has been some concern about personality conflict on the Millbrae City Council, it is not because of the two incumbents running for re-election. Reuben Holober and Anne Oliva have been at the center of some debate but have been responsible and responsive in moving the discussion forward. Holober is at all times diplomatic and even-keeled while Oliva came into her own as mayor during the tragic recreation center arson fire.

Both have been through tremendous discussions on how to rebuild that recreation center, how to proceed with the 116-acre site, how to balance the city’s budget and how to increase vitality downtown.

I wrote a letter to the editor today in response to this endorsement, which I am disappointed in as it fails to capture the enormous amount of failures we've seen from our City Council.

Please consider watching last night's candidate forum: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fogiHO9HFvY

what is bad about this terrible endorsement is that on one hand it says

JLeon

and on the other hand says to offer a helping hand. WE SHOULD ALL BE QUICK TO CRITISIZE AND CHALLENGE INCOMPETENCE AND CORRUPTION IN OUR POLITICIANS. It is obviously just a fluff endorsement. I am Millbrae I will vote for ONE councilmember YOUYOUXUE!

You You, you still don't get it. You need to connect with the voters. Your position on some issues, such as rent control, is inexcusable.
