Ms. Latimerlo, in regards to leading with compassion, perhaps it is more important to lead by example. I truly don’t understand how someone can talk the talk/virtue signal but is not willing to walk the walk. If folks who support a homeless hotel in Millbrae or anywhere else opened up their homes to a homeless person, then we wouldn’t need to saddle anyone with homeless hotels. I would hope our so-called leaders would lead by example and show their regard for all members of our community, even if one lives in Belmont rather than Millbrae.

Gina Latimerlo is a gifted resident of Belmont with a wonderful resume of achievements and has a wonderful family. However like many of us there can be minute flaws. I once used, deemed by her, as an inappropriate word to describe some of the bus behavior of a specific group from Nesbit as well as describing something Sam Trans Corporate did to the residents of Redwood Shores regarding service - but - in stead of debating me with compassion or using one of her many skills that she has learned via the Lions Club - she decided, after one email, to block me from communicating with her.

No other Belmont council-person ever chose that journey.
