Editor,

In a recent article about the decision of the Peninsula Health Care District to proceed with a proposal to build affordable housing, reporter Holly Rusch credited community advocates for their role in persuading the district to devote land under its jurisdiction to affordable housing. While I was quoted in the article as one of those advocates, I would like to pause for a moment and shift attention to an organizer with the Housing Leadership Council whose name is Ken Chan. For the past five years, Ken has been indispensable in sustaining the advocates’ effort to track and monitor developments with respect to the plans for this parcel of public land.

Thank you Karyl for spotlighting Ken's tireless efforts! A real leader easily gives credit where it's due.
