Neil Wild’s letter on Aug. 14 about Federal Reserve Chair Powell and Trump was correct in his thoughts about the benefits of a lower interest rate, but what he leaves out is Powell is only a part of the group that decides about the interest rates.

Thanks for your letter, Mr. Nice. You say, “The group does not make their decisions because they either hate or like Trump.” Are you sure Jerome Powell understands that? My guess is that you’re once again wrong. Meanwhile, how about a letter detailing why high-profile Democrats such as Adam Schiff, Leticia James, and now, Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook are under federal investigation/criminally referred to the DOJ for mortgage fraud? And Marilyn Mosby, a former Democrat Baltimore State’s attorney being found guilty of mortgage fraud.
