Congratulations to Patrick Sullivan, Foster City’s newly appointed mayor. Patrick was unanimously selected by the City Council at the council’s first meeting in December.
Although this honor is held dearly by Patrick, the journey has always been the reward for him. And the journey has been a long and challenging one for him. It was a number of years and multiple election races before he was elected to the Foster City Council three years ago. Through the years in non-elected positions and more recently as an elected official, Sullivan has always put the safety and well-being of the Foster City community first.
And as a politician who values public service, it has always been for him, “leadership, not politics.” Well done and congratulations to Patrick Sullivan, mayor of Foster City.
Mr. Pavela, your accolades may be too early but we can give Mr. Sullivan a chance. However, what’s most important is how Mr. Sullivan handles the geese poop problem – a problem which has vexed mayors and so-called FC leaders for a number of years, to the detriment of the safety and well-being of the Foster City community, and others.
