Well said, Patti. Craig Wiesner is a treasure!

Hello jesg - your reply reminds me of a Latino proverb. Loosely translated, "A left over is someone else's desert".

Thanks for your letter, Ms. Moskovitz. You say, “Evil happens when ordinary people watch, and do nothing. We cannot afford to make that mistake. It is up to us.” I’d agree, and it is up to us to stop voting in Democrats who impose these evils upon us, especially when they continue to waste our tax monies. To wit, Newsom and Dem complicitness in taxpayer waste to the tune of $billions wasted on the train-to-nowhere, the $24 billion given to the homeless industrial complex, the $billions wasted to give free healthcare to non-residents, and the list goes on. Until Californians vote for a change, expect more of the same.

I don’t recall Mr. Wiesner contributing his wisdom and insight into reducing taxpayer waste. In addition to reading Mr. Wiesner’s columns, I’d highly recommend reading comments to Mr. Wiesner’s columns – they’re just as, if not more, enlightening and call out the facts that Mr. Wiesner has conveniently, or purposefully, forgotten.

Indeed Patti! I look forward to the writings of Craig Wiesner each week.

I remember Craig Wiesner endorsing the "Lexus Lanes" that brought more congestion, more air pollution, more GHG emissions, more car violence, and more lawlessness to the county. He showed little to no concern for the victims of this pollution or car violence. If I remember correctly he ignored much of the valid criticism of the project and repeated the company line that was fed to him by Peter Skinner, Jessica Manzi, Randol White and Lacy Vong - people that are having a hand in why our area is 'Backward County' when it comes to Public Transit and Active Transportation. This richest county (Top 3) in all of America has basically no Safe-Routes-To-School solutions, a far-below-average bus transit system and has based all their "Sustainability Goals" around Elon Musk and his "greenwashing" companies. And look how that worked out?

My own "Call to Conscience” forces me to call Craig Wiesner out on that one.

He should show some compassion towards residents that are harmed by these bad projects and the lack of good projects.
