Once again, Congress has shown that it deserves its low approval ratings by moving one step closer to mental health parity. The American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders enshrined by the bill is one of the most unscientific documents in existence. It consists of impressive sounding opinions which all lead to the conclusion that life is a mental disorder.
This bill will not help those who truly need assistance.
What it will do is drive up health costs astronomically, put billions of more wasted dollars into the hands of psychiatry and its drug company allies and put millions more on psychiatric drugs which, according to recent studies, don’t work better than a sugar pill, but do cause suicide, homicide, violence and death.
We all deserve better.

The Commissioner of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) says, "Gaza is on the threshold of becoming the first territory to be intentionally reduced to a state of abject destitution, with the knowledge, acquiesce and — some would say — the encouragement of the international community.”
We have had a constant run of letters to the editor about the conflict between Israel and Palestine going back some 60 years.
I think we need to be aware of what is going on right now.
The actions of the Israeli government, funded by the United States, against the people in Gaza is a crime against humanity and must be stopped.
