Vincent James (Jim) Cozzolino, of Half Moon Bay, died peacefully in his home Aug. 24, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was born on May 13, 1931, in Mills Hospital, San Mateo. He was part of a farming family in Millbrae until 1949 when he came to Half Moon Bay and started his flower business. Over the next 65 years he grew daisies, vegetables, Christmas trees, pumpkins and whatever else tickled his fancy.
Jim was an avid supporter of the Half Moon Bay community. Active in the IDES, the Cabrillo Unified School District, OPUS, the Italian American Club and the Sicilian Club and was a strong supporter of Ducks Unlimited.
Jim is survived by the love of his life, Mary Alice, his children Linda, Eddie, Jimmy and his wife Diana, Johnny and his wife Jennifer, his 10 grandchildren Natalie, Teddy, Vincent, Bianca, Olivia, Aundrea, Isabella, Gabriella, Johnny, Clayton and great-granddaughter Luna, as well as his three sisters Molly Figone, Marie Davis and Flora Harpe.
He proudly served his country in the Korean War and his passions in life were family, farming and duck hunting.
