Kristi Binder Perazzo, a beloved wife, stepmother, grandmother, and resilient fighter, passed away at the age of 74. Her journey, marked by love, dedication, and perseverance, touched the lives of many.
Born in Chicago and raised in the heart of El Paso, Texas, Kristi embodied the warmth and hospitality of her hometown throughout her life. She carried with her the spirit of the southwest, filling every room with her genuine kindness, laughter, and unwavering strength.
In her early career, Kristi moved to New York and found her passion in the world of retail, where her vibrant personality and dedication to customer service shone brightly. Later she transitioned to a different role, becoming an integral part of her husband Rich’s accounting practice. With her sharp mind and a meticulous attention to detail she provided invaluable support, ensuring the success of their business and the well-being of their clients, cultivating many lasting relationships.
In her free time, Kristi loved to travel and play golf, frequenting great courses across the country to enjoy a round with Rich whenever she could. Later in life, she loved to spend time at her beloved cabin retreat at Lake Almanor.
However, Kristi’s greatest joy came from her roles as a wife, stepmother, and grandmother. She poured boundless love and care into her family, creating cherished memories that will be treasured for generations to come (and spoiling her grandchildren whenever she had the opportunity). Despite facing numerous health battles, she remained a pillar of strength, inspiring all who knew her with her resilience and determination.
Kristi’s legacy is one of love, perseverance, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Rich, her stepchildren Tony (Kathy). Dino (Angela), Marc (Jill), and Danielle (Phil), her grandchildren Nicole, Cali, Michael, Dominic, Ryan, Mason, Emmet, Cecily, Meara and Remi, her sister-in-law Susan Binder, her nephew Beau Binder, her niece Augusta Pace and a host of relatives and friends whose lives she touched with her warmth and kindness. Kristi was preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Betty
Lou Binder and her brother Ray Binder.
Though she may no longer be with us in person, Kristi’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and light she brought into the world.
A visitation and reception will be held at Crippen & Flynn Carlmont Chapel on Tuesday April 30, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
