Helen Franco Photo

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helen Franco. Helen was born in San Francisco to Maria and Gust Tsintelis. Helen was a beloved wife to Gus Franco, a dear sister to George and Sophie, a devoted mother to Michael and his wife Sigrun and a cherished grandmother to Mike, Nick, and Kyra. Helen was a Millbrae resident and a proud San Mateo County community member for 60 years. Helen, aged 92, departed from this world on October 26, 2023. She touched the lives of many with her love and kindness.

In her free time, Helen enjoyed nurturing her garden and cheering for the Giants, Warriors, and 49ers. She was also deeply involved in the family business, Super Crown Catering, which she and Gus began in 1960. Helen was a dedicated family woman as well as a faithful member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Her dedication to the church and her family earned her the title “Mother of the Year” within the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society of the Annunciation Cathedral in 2009.
