Elena Del Grande Photo

Elena Del Grande, age 95, of Redwood City, California, died peacefully at home on April 3, 2026 with her family by her side. She was born April 27, 1930 in Trujillo, Honduras, and was raised in Guatemala with her 6 siblings. As a young woman, she made the brave decision to come to the United States and eventually made her way to San Francisco, where she met her husband and built her family.

Elena was a woman who lived her life brightly and those closest to her would often lovingly comment that she was fueled by her lively spirit and sugar. She spent her days doing the things that she loved, which included working in her garden, cooking, and enjoying an incredibly over-sweetened cup of chamomile tea. She loved her cats and was an avid traveler, enjoying trips to places across Asia, Europe, and South America, as well as trips to the casino with her sisters.
