Anthony Louis Vecchio, resident of Foster City, born June 13, 1942, died Nov. 25, 2018.
Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Anthony earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Peru State College, Peru, Nebraska. In 1969, he moved to Burlingame, California, where he met the love of his life, Annamaria, born and raised in Rome, Italy.
Anthony worked for Inflight Motion Pictures, a company that set up movies for the Airlines: Pan Am, TWA and PSA. He also was a private pilot, owning Aircoupe. He flew Annamaria to Omaha, Disneyland and other local areas.
After his retirement, Anthony volunteered for 17 years for the Blood Centers of Pacific, delivering blood to hospitals, labs and clinics.
Anthony is survived by his wife Annamaria; his children Christine of Redwood City and John of Foster City; his grandson Nicholas; and his two sisters Marylee and Susan of Omaha.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at St. Luke Catholic Church, 111 Beach Park Blvd., Foster City where services will conclude
We have grown up with our kids with Tony and Anamaria here in Foster City I remember Tony and his red car a Buick driving around town here. Tony will be missed by all of us..Our kids and families have been together since 1972...Much love to AnaMaria ,John and Christine. We will all miss our Tony.
