A Stanford University student from Nebraska died of injuries suffered when she was struck by a minivan while jogging, authorities said.
Brianna Marie Germer, 21, died Monday night at Stanford University Medical Center with her parents, from Lincoln, Neb., at her side.
Germer was crossing busy Sand Hill Road in Palo Alto Sunday when she was hit. She was wearing headphones connected to a digital music player, and Palo Alto police spokesman Dan Ryan said it could have contributed to the accident.
