Michael C. Ross, a 67-year-old man who has worked as a substitute teacher and tutor throughout San Mateo County, was arrested for possession of child sexual abuse material after a cybertip was submitted to the Sheriff’s Office from the Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

A search of Ross’ San Mateo home in February yielded thousands of pieces of child porn in various forms and he was arrested Feb. 19, and was released from custody on bail as determined by the courts, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
