This Saturday, the Coastside Land Trust is celebrating the grand opening of a 1/3-mile extension of the California Coastal Trail just south of the Seymour Bridge in Half Moon Bay.

The public is invited to join San Mateo County Supervisor Don Horsley and representatives from the Peninsula Open Space Trust and San Mateo County Department of Parks for a presentation and refreshments. The ceremony is 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at the south end of the Seymour Bridge. Parking is available to the north for $10 at Poplar State Beach and to the east for free at Smith Field.
