A Turlock man was arrested in Redwood City Monday on suspicion of fraudulently using multiple stolen credit cards.
The Redwood City Police Department was notified at approximately 4:30 p.m. by a victim of identity theft that someone was currently attempting to purchase a vehicle at the Land Rover Dealership using his personal information.
The buyer, 22-year-old Darin Volk of Turlock was arrested at the dealership. Volk was a parolee-at-large and found in possession of controlled substances, a large amount of cash, dozens of stolen and fake credit cards and several fake drivers licenses, according to Redwood City police.
Through further investigation, police confiscated several electronic devices used to manufacture and alter credit cards, lists containing stolen credit card information, individual credit reports and a credit card embossing machine.
