SAN FRANCISCO — Jurors deciding whether to convict a man of racketeering and murder charges stemming from an organized crime investigation in San Francisco’s Chinatown have left for the day after reviewing audio recordings and testimony.

The jury ended its first full day of deliberations on Wednesday without a verdict on the charges against Raymond “Shrimp Boy” Chow. Jurors earlier in the day asked to review an audio recording of a conversation between Chow and an undercover FBI agent who spearheaded the probe. Prosecutors have cited the recording as evidence of Chow’s involvement in the murder of the head of a Chinese fraternal organization that Chow then took over.
