Adelante Spanish Immersion School in Redwood City recently won a Redwood City Education Foundation SMART grant. It able to purchase a class set of Chromebooks for grades three to five.

The Belmont-Redwood Shores Elementary School District will be forming a Mathematics Textbook Adoption Committee. The process will lead to an adoption recommendation that will go to the school board in the spring 2015.

Author Dr. Laura Kastner will be speaking at the San Mateo Performing Arts Center about wise-minded parenting strategies and the predictors of success in adolescence 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, as part of the Peninsula Parent Speaker Series. The San Mateo Performing Arts Center is located at 600 N. Delaware St.
Kastner will present highlights from her new book “Wise-Minded Parenting” and answer questions about parenting tweens and teens.
