Sage

Sage

Sage is the perfect name for this smart girl. She is a 1-year-old vizsla mix who currently weighs about 60 pounds. Vizslas are known for their affectionate, energetic and loyal temperament. They are often described as "Velcro dogs" due to their strong bond with their owners and their desire to be close. Vizslas are also intelligent and eager to please, making them responsive to training — especially when positive reinforcement methods are used. Her human friends say Sage is a little powerhouse with a heart as big as her boundless energy. In just the first few days in foster care, she has shown great learning potential for commands such as “sit,” “fetch,” “leave it” and potty training — thanks to her sharp mind, love of treats and a keen eye to learn from other dogs in the house. During playtime, she rockets around the yard with the most joyful zoomies you’ll ever see. Come cuddle o’clock, she’ll be your devoted snuggle partner, happily snoozing at your side. Though she may be a tad shy in new settings, her gentle curiosity shines through — she greets people and pups of all sizes with polite excitement and never barks out of place. Ready to fill your home with endless joy? Sage is eager to become your playful pal and lifelong cuddle buddy. Call Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA at (650) 340-7022 to schedule an appointment to meet Sage, ID# A960991. Visit www.phs-spca.org or email behavior@phs-spca.org for more information.
