More than 3,200 students graduated from the College of San Mateo, Skyline College and Cañada College this spring. Of those, 1,649 were first-generation college students. Graduates ranged from ages 16 to 78, and nearly half earned academic honors.

The San Mateo County Community College Foundation awarded $2.2 million in scholarships to 1,593 students across the district’s three schools. The amount awarded is the largest scholarship distribution in district history.

Jahon Casey of San Mateo, Michaela-Lynn Thompson of San Bruno, Audrey Rose Antonio of South San Francisco, Evelyne Jelia Villena of Daly City and Stephanie Morales Vidal of East Palo Alto were named to the dean’s list at Stanislaus State University for earning a GPA of 3.5 or above.

Maeley Nakamura of San Mateo graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree.

Justin Milch of Pacifica graduated from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana with a master’s degree.

Carolyn Bishop Welter of Belmont graduated with a master’s degree from George Washington University.
