'The Studio' breaks Emmys record for most wins by a comedy in a single season

LOS ANGELES (AP) — "The Studio" has made Emmy history by winning 12 awards, becoming the most awarded comedy series in a single season. This surpasses the previous record of 11 set by "The Bear" last year. Seth Rogen's Apple TV+ series won for comedy acting, directing, and writing. Rogen shared the directing award with Evan Goldberg. Britt Lower and Tramell Tillman won their first Emmys for "Severance." Jean Smart won best actress in a comedy for "Hacks," while Hannah Einbinder took best supporting actress. Jeff Hiller's win for "Somebody Somewhere" was a major surprise. Stephen Colbert opened the show, receiving a standing ovation.
