Hillsdale 15, Mills 7
The Knights wrapped up at least a share of the Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division championship after ending their regular season with the win over the Vikings.
Hillsdale (11-3 PAL Bay, 17-9 overall) will now wait and see if Capuchino can beat San Mateo Thursday. A Mustangs’ win would give the Knights the outright title, while a Bearcats’ victory would mean a Bay Division co-championship.
Hillsdale took early control against Mills (5-8, 13-10), scoring five runs in the top of the first and making it 6-0 with a run in the second. The Vikings stayed in the game with three runs in the bottom of the second, but a four-run third and four-run fifth gave the Knights plenty of breathing room.
Hillsdale hammered Mills pitching, launching four home runs, led by Lola Jones, who had a pair. Maddy Peña and Ania Aleshi also went deep for the Knights. Jones and Sophia Shelton each had three RBIs, while Peña and Giuliana Brum each drove in two runs each.
Alyssa Peñas and Lucy Esquivel both went yard for Mills, with Esquivel and Elise Jang lead the Vikings with two RBIs each.
San Mateo 16, Carlmont 7
The Bearcats kept pace with Hillsdale, still a half-game back with one game left to play after beating the Scots.
A San Mateo win over Capuchino would give the Bearcats a share of the Bay title with Hillsdale. A loss and the Knights are outright champs.
Much like Hillsdale did to Mills, San Mateo (10-3 PAL Bay, 16-5 overall) jumped out to quick lead with four runs in the first and all but putting the game away with an eight-run second as the Bearcats banged out 19 hits.
Alice Han went 4 for 4 with three RBIs to lead the San Mateo offense. Marissa Kim added a pair of RBIs while six other Bearcats drove in a run apiece.
Scarlett Kisich led the offense for Carlmont (0-12, 3-21-1), driving in three runs.
Aragon 10, King’s Academy 8
The Dons wrapped up second place in the Bay Division, rallying to beat the Knights by scoring five runs in their final two at-bats.
Down 8-7 after King’s answered a two-run sixth from the Dons with three in the bottom of the inning, Aragon (10-4 PAL Bay, 17-10 overall) scored three runs in the top of the seventh to take the lead.
Chloe Wan led the offense for the Dons, driving in three runs. Destiny Garcia added a pair of RBIs for Aragon.
Kes Wong and Mia Bennette led the offense for King’s (4-8, 9-11) as both drove in a pair of runs.
The game, however, was sloppy as the teams combined for 11 errors.
Capuchino 10, Woodside 0
It’s been a tough season for the Mustangs, but they secured an automatic CCS berth after posting the mercy-rule win over the Wildcats.
The top four teams from the Bay earn automatic bids to the playoffs and Capuchino (7-6 PAL Bay, 11-12 overall) sits in fourth place with a game left to play and two-game lead over both Mills and the Wildcats.
Capuchino pitcher Lily Thomas, who pitched a perfect game in a 2-0 win over Aragon April 14, tossed a one-hitter in the win over Woodside (5-8, 14-9) — giving up a single to Angelina Aranda. Thomas struck out seven and walking a pair.
Dana Motroni paced the offense for the Mustangs, driving in three runs. Brianna Lopiccolo and Leenanna Patolo each added two RBIs for Capuchino.

Sacred Heart Prep 6, Woodside 1, 9 innings
The Gators clinched at least a share of the PAL Ocean Division title after beating the Wildcats.
With one game remaining in the regular season, SHP (11-2 PAL Ocean, 19-7 overall) holds a one-game lead over San Mateo.
But it wasn’t easy. Woodside (6-7, 13-11) took a 1-0 lead in bottom of the second, before SHP tied it with a run in the top of the fifth. The score remained tied until the ninth inning when the Gators erupted for five runs to secure the win.
Rallin Covey got the start for SHP and pitched all seven innings of regulation, giving up an unearned run on just three hits, striking out eight. He did not factor into the decision, however, as Nico Pollioni got the win with two innings of scoreless, hitless relief.
Pollioni also got it done at the plate, cracking a pair of doubles and driving in two.
San Mateo 6, Aragon 2
The Bearcats stayed in the race for the PAL Ocean Division championship after beating the crosstown rival Dons.
San Mateo (10-3 PAL Ocean, 19-7 overall) stayed one game behind Sacred Heart Prep. The Bearcats need to complete the sweep of Aragon (6-7, 14-12) and hope Woodside can knock off SHP Thursday to create a co-championship.
Jesus Olivas went the distance for the second start in a row for San Mateo, limiting Aragon to two runs on six hits, striking out 10 along the way. He was given all the offensive support he would need in the bottom of the first inning, as the Bearcats scored four runs. The Don scored single runs in second and fourth innings, but the Bearcats got those runs back with two in the bottom of the fifth.
Michael Lackey had a pair of hits and drove in two runs to pace the offense for San Mateo.
Half Moon By 7, Terra Nova 3
The Cougars kept their hopes alive for an automatic playoff berth after knocking off the rival Tigers.
The top two PAL Ocean Division teams earn bids to the CCS playoffs and with the win, HMB (9-4 PAL Ocean, 16-9 overall) is one win behind San Mateo. A Cougars’ win Thursday and a San Mateo loss to pull even with the Bearcats, with tiebreakers to decided the second automatic bid.
HMB trailed 1-0 after two innings, but scored two runs in both the third and fourth innings, and then took control with a three-run fifth.
El Camino 17, Jefferson 1
The Colts completed an undefeated run through PAL Lake Division play with the mercy-rule win over the Grizzlies.
Already leading 7-0 after two innings, El Camino (14-0 PAL Lake, 20-5 overall) put the game away with a 10-run third. Nicholas Jang, Hunter Tamayo and Carlos Alcala all drove in three runs to lead the Colts offensively. Adrian Iniguez got the win on the mound, allowing one run on one hit while striking out 11 in five innings of work.
