Editor,
My name is Dennis Burns and I am the retired chief of the Palo Alto Police Department and a former San Mateo County employee. I am writing to enthusiastically endorse Chief Deputy District Attorney Jay Boyarsky for Superior Court judge.
Mr. Boyarsky is a seasoned prosecutor and currently oversees the third largest District Attorney’s Office in California. He manages the prosecution of hundreds of high-profile cases including robberies, sexual assaults and murders each year. As chief deputy, Mr. Boyarsky directs a staff of over 600 employees.
I have known Mr. Boyarsky for over 25 years and worked closely with him when he was the Supervising DA in the Palo Alto office. My assessment of Mr. Boyarsky is that he is fair, objective and absolutely committed to seeking justice for the victim while ensuring the rights of the accused. I have seen his absolute dedication to upholding the law while treating all involved parties with dignity and respect. Mr. Boyarsky possesses a judge’s temperament as he is composed, unflappable and well versed in the law.
The residents of San Mateo County would be fortunate to have Jay’s integrity, work ethic and servant leadership on the Superior Court. I strongly encourage residents to vote for Jay Boyarsky because of his disposition, his superior experience and qualifications.
