A few days ago Foster City police Sgt. Will Frisz died unexpectedly and our city is mourning his passing. Our police department, fire department, staff and the residents who knew him are so sad. Will came by and checked on me through the 20 years I’ve known him, which he did for many. Over 30 years of service.
I just wanted to publicly thank San Mateo Police Chief Ed Barberini who stepped up to fill in shifts for us to give our PD time to grieve and recover from their loss. We can’t thank them enough for being our great neighbors.
Will’s funeral included representatives from all police departments in the county and their presence meant a lot to all of us.
Thank you Will for your kindness and dedication, you were someone who wore the badge with honor and compassion. … Rest in peace and we pray for peace for Will’s family and friends.
