Merl Eugene Lewellen passed away in Daly City on Oct. 5, 2005 at the age of 66. Best friend of former wife Jan Mounir. Beloved and devoted father of Dawn Herndon and the late Darren Lewellen. Cherished grandfather of Kelsey Elwell and Isabella Herndon.
Loving son of the late Josephas and Elizabeth Lewellen. Dear brother of Homer Lewellen, Addassa Dollman and Janice Lewellen.
A native of Quincy, Ill. Merl was the most devoted member and treasurer of over 30 years at the local painter and tapers union. He was the best man God ever sent to us. His life was completely devoted to his children, grandchildren and work.
Friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005 at Sneider & Sullivan Funeral Home, 977 S. El Camino Real in San Mateo.
