Pam Frisella, a 25-year resident of Foster City, announced her candidacy for City Council this weekend.
She joins Planning Commissioner Art Kiesel in announcing intentions to run for two open seats on the council this November. Councilman Marland Townsend and Councilwoman Deborah Wilder are being forced out by term limits.
Frisella is a member of the Foster City Parks and Recreation Citizen Advisory Committee and has participated in Little League, AYSO and was actively involved in the planning and construction of Sea Cloud Park.
She is also a volunteer coordinator at Samaritan House and is a member of the San Mateo and Foster City chambers of commerce and the Foster City Rotary Club.
"If elected, I will continue to be an advocate for the cultivation of new, small to medium viable industries, both service and technology: the very backbone of any fiscally sound community," Frisella said in a prepared statement.
